Cheryl and I took a day off and went into Boston's North End and Fanuel Hall the week before Christmas. There was some great shopping and browsing to do. We walked around the North end and the shops at Quincy Market, then ducked into Durgin Park for some of the best chowder ever made! We stood in an enourmous line at Mikes Pastry, but after an hour we had our prize: a ricotta pie! We also bought loads of cookies for little Christmas packages. We visited the oldest Catholic Church in the North End, then had dinner at one of the many many restaraunts that cater to the afficionados of Italian food.
