Oak
Bluffs is renowned for its gingerbread cottages, brightly painted homes with an
almost storybook character.
The town was the gathering place for Methodist camp meetings.
The tents were replaced by these cottages on the 1800's
In 1884 the Flying Horses Carousel was brought to Oak Bluffs, where it remains the oldest platform carousel still in operation.
