HR: TEX: H. Blalock (3). BOS: D. Ortiz (2), D. Pedroia (1).

A wonderful game, great loge seats, the first warm night of the spring, and Big Papi hits a grand slam, ending his early season slump! Everything for a perfect game...including a powerful performance by the Red Sox

HR: BOS: D. Ortiz (5).

These seats were out by Pesky Pole, good view if the outfield action, the last out of the 9th took the game when Tek shot one into the outfield, to allow Manny to run in from second, with a split second to spare. Dice-K pitched. Delcarmen was in for one batter, got him on base, and that tied up the game in the eighth!, fortunately Captain Varitek knocked one between the infielders, and that game was won on the with two outs and two stikes in the ninth!

The crowd went wild!

HR: BOS: B. Moss (2).

This one started as a rain delyed, did not get underway until 9:30, so it was well past midnight before the Sox won the game.

It is amazing the energy and excitement that Ellsbury brings to the game. The crown just goes wild when he comes up to bat, and distracts the pitcher to no end once he is on base...

Friday, June 6h, Pesky Pole: God what a stinker of a game, and it was the one that was the most difficult to get tickets for....

Oh well, it's only a ballgame!
