Fenway Park was built in 1912 for the Boston Red Sox.

I did not get to see Fenway until the late 1950's, when the Baltimore Orioles came to town.
My family sat near the Orioles dugout. Over the years I would return to Fenway on occasion, but did not become a serious fan until I was an adult,
and could see that watching a game live was so different from on TV. There was a pace, a style to each game. Even in loosing there were maneuvers to observe,
signals to catch, movements as each batter came up. It was relaxing, exciting, and something that gave me and my father common ground to talk about.

Today it is a wonderful tradition that I share with my close friends. As I am able I buy tickets and bring them to the games. To me it is a present which goes beyond the physical, it is a gift of summer, relaxation, tradition and memories that can last a lifetime.

Those are the best of all gifts.
