Each Christmas season, the town of Falmouth on Cape Cod enjoys a weekend of Christmas celebration. On Friday night, Nobska Light overlooking Vineyard Sound is lit with a large wreath for the season. 

 

The Christmas Lights of Falmouth Green, Cape Cod

On Saturday people from town gather on the Public Green for the lighting. It is quite an event, with the high school band leading in Christmas Carols as the switch is thrown. Some of the decorations are quite old, and it is always a great way to start the season. On Sunday there is a parade down Main Street. The Fire Engine is always popular.
