Pen & Ink Illustrations

Years ago I was illustrating a sailing vessel in the fog, and discovered that the individual dots from a pen, called stiple, allowed me to have more control of the gray scale than any other stroke. Since then I have explored the variety of textures that provide a dynamic range of tones that comprise an image. It takes a lot of patience to illustrate an image!
