My early studies were in the fine arts. Portraiture was something I enjoyed quite a bit. My painting was primarily done as a student. Once I started a full time job I had little time for oils. I actually went for a decade without any form of art, picking it up again with my pen and ink Christmas Card illustrations in the 80's
