Fairhaven Town Hall

Fairhaven Town Hall was built by Henry Huttleston Rogers, the town's turn of the century benefactor. It is built of brick, with magnificent terracota molding and sculptures, as can be seen on some of the images above. Of particular note is the fact that one of Henry Huttleston Roger's friends, Mark Twain gave the commemoration speech for the town hall.

A tradition that Rogers had once started continues today, at Christmas time there is caroling on the steps of the town hall. Hot chocolate and cider are served inside. It is a wonderful tradition.
