Views of the Fairhaven Unitarian Memorial Church
Sculpture and Exterior

Master craftsmen from all of Europe were employed to create this church. It is told that the faces of many of the townspeople were used as the subjects for the many many sculptures that adorn the exterior. Sadly, time has started to erase many of the features of these wonderful works of art.

The bronze doors were inspired by
Ghiberti's Doors at the Duomo in Florence.
These massive doors are opened each
Sunday for service, and are perfectly balanced for opening and closing.
